A group of NIGAT members presented at European Federation of Art Therapy (EFAT) International Conference in London, July 2025, and the presentation was “highly rated and… selected by the Conference Committee.” It showcased the long-standing core NI approach to art therapy: trauma-informed, client-led, relational practice which is underpinned by adherence to good clinical governance, HCPC Standards, and BAAT guidance.
The conference call emphasised that: “the field of art therapy faces an urgent need to assert its unique role, differentiating itself from general arts-based wellness approaches.
