The important meetings and events for NIGAT throughout the year are Day Meetings, Art Therapy Summer School, AGM – which all offer opportunities to come together with other members, or for non-members to learn more about NIGAT, art therapy and the use of art and creativity to facilitate personal well-being. Day Meetings
NIGAT holds three Day Meetings a year. These normally take place on the first Saturday in February, June and October and normally run from c10:00-3:30, usually in a venue in or near Belfast. NIGAT Day Meetings consist of experiential art-making and a variety of presentations relating to art therapy, creativity and health. The atmosphere is open and welcoming to all.

Art Therapy Summer School
The Art Therapy Summer School is held each year, normally around early August, over several days. It features presentations and experiential workshops and offers opportunities to learn more about art therapy and the wider use of art and creativity to facilitate personal development and health.

AGM
This is held each November, normally in the evening of the fourth Thursday in November. All members are welcome to attend. The meeting addresses AGM business, news and developments followed by a Presentation or Guest Speaker and refreshments.
