Forthcoming Events with Brain Injury Matters

Dr Jonathan McCrea from Brain Injury Matters has provided information on the following events giving some insight into some of the incredible work the organisation does. This really shows what people can achieve and hope it is inspiring to others:

‘I am’ exhibition was on public display until 15th March 2024 but can be viewed online via the University of Atypical ‘s website.

‘Reverse Engineering’ – Cube Theatre, Crescent Arts Centre as part of the Imagine Festival.
Tuesday 19th March 2024 (1pm-2.30pm).
A series of original screenplays written by aspiring creative writers at Brain Injury Matters. The staged readings will be followed by a facilitated discussion on the plays’ topics, decided by the participants

Triathlon Ireland SERE National Series Duathlon – Down Royal Race Course, Maze
24th March 2024
With our participants successfully taking part in two Triathlon Ireland National Series events in relay teams in 2023, they are again entering this event in 2024

Brain Injury Matters participants have worked with Curator Ciaran Doran to examine the beauty and nostalgia of old postcards. They have created a series of new postcards in the style of scenic photographer John Hinde through printing, drawing and collage.
